The KSD9700 thermostat is a combination of two different alloys, which will heat up after passing electric current. Because of the different thermal expansion coefficients of two different alloys, the alloys will inevitably bend in one direction and the contacts will leave and the electricity will be cut off. The bending speed is proportional to the passing current and the ambient temperature, so that it can be maintained.
Structure and Application
KSD9700 series products are temperature controllers with bimetal as temperature-sensing elements. When electrical appliances work normally, bimetal sheets are in free state and contacts are in closed/open state. When the temperature rises to the operating temperature value, bimetal elements are heated to produce internal stress and act quickly. Open/close contacts, cut/close circuits, thus playing a thermal protection role. When the temperature drops to the re-temperature, the contact automatically closes/disconnects and resumes its normal working state. Widely used in household electrical appliances motor and electrical equipment, such as washing machine motor, air conditioning fan motor, transformer, ballast, electric heating appliances, etc.
